People choose to work with a therapist for many important reasons.

  • You may find that you are feeling overwhelmed by your current situation or distracted by events of the past.
  • You may be having difficulty meeting your goals, sustaining change or managing your behavior.
  • You may be dissatisfied with personal or work relationships or, perhaps, others are dissatisfied with you.
  • You may be looking for support on your own journey of self-exploration.

Therapy offers you an opportunity to re-gain your balance, relieve stress, get support for meeting your goals, learn how to build good relationships with others, and gain insight about yourself.

I work with adults, adolescents, couples, families and groups. My clients may be experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, relationship conflicts, workplace issues, behavioral problems and many other challenges common to us all.

To build a working relationship that best meets your goals, I use a variety of approaches including person-centered, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused brief, mindfulness, creative, mind-body, and coaching. I specialize in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). IFS helps you lead your life from a centered, confident, compassionate place. You can learn more about IFS in the article below. Our practice serves clients from Germantown, Gaithersburg, Damascus, Clarksburg, Rockville and other parts of northern Montgomery County and Frederick County.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland.
